Medha's International Faculties

Dr. Barry Sterman

Prof. Emeritus, David Geffen School of Medicine, Department of Neurobiology and Bio-behavioral Psychiatry, UCLA, is one of the pioneers of Brain Function Training and arguably knows more about it than anyone in the field. His ground-breaking work and the discovery of the SMR rhythm shed new light on how the brain "Learns." Extensive research on SMR rhythm has shown that it stabilizes brain activity and can keep individuals (and organizations) robust and dynamic; He has published dozens of scientific papers on the subject of human EEG and operant conditioning mechanisms.

Dr. David Kaiser

Co-Founder of Sterman Kaiser Imaging Labs, formerly professor of Psychology, Rochester Institute of Technology, NY; He was a doctoral student of Dr. Barry Sterman and specialized in Cognitive Neuroscience. His brain-child, the SKIL database of human quantitative EEG analysis software, set a benchmark in new metrics for assessing brain function; He also has many publications to his name and is the erstwhile editor of the Journal of Neurotherapy. He runs his own Academy and is involved in many research projects today. He is often considered to be a maverick & a genius in the field, by many. He is considered to be one of the foremost thought-leaders in this field of Applied Neuroscience

Lynda Thompson, Ph.D. BCIA-EEG

She is a Registered Psychologist with experience in teaching, clinical psychology, school psychology and ownership of learning centres. She has been the Executive Director of The ADD Centre since 1993. Her doctoral dissertation (1979) dealt with self-esteem in hyperactive children treated with methylphenidate. Dr. Lynda Thompson is co-author with pediatrician William Sears of The ADD Book: New Understandings, New Approaches to Parenting Your Child, published by Little, Brown & Co. of New York.

Dr. Michael Thompson, B.Sc., M.D., D. Psych.

He has a background in physiology, biochemistry, medicine, hospital administration, and university teaching. He now devotes his time to the administration of the ADD Centre and the Biofeedback Institute and training professionals. When formerly practicing medicine he was Associate Professor and head of post-graduate education in Psychiatry, University of Western Ontario, and an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians (Canada) and chairman of their examinations committee in psychiatry.
Numerous professional publications include A Resident's Guide to Psychiatric Education and papers and chapters on childhood psychosis and child development. While Associate Professor, University of Toronto, he was psychiatric consultant to The Hospital for Sick Children's neurology department and director of a children's centre specializing in the treatment of pre-schoolers with autistic spectrum disorders (PDD). He is co-author with Lynda Thompson of Setting Up for Clinical Success with the Procomp+/Biograph, and, more recently, Setting Up for Clinical Success with the Biograph-Infiniti 3rd edition and also of The Neurofeedback Book: An Introduction to Basic Concepts in Applied Psychophysiology.

Dr. Gail Sanders Durgin

She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from NYU (New York University). She has more than fifteen years experience with working with children with special needs. She is an experienced neurotherapist and also a prominent member of Dr. Sterman's SABA group, having been one of his first students.

Dr. Len Ochs

He is a psychologist in private practie, having done biofeedback since 1975 & psychotherapy since 1966. He is considered one of the pioneers in biofeedback especially in the area of instrumental training.
While traditional Neurofeedback, from an interventionist point of view, thought of shaping the EEG, Len Ochs thought outside the box and came up with another viewpoint is that once a person is impaired, the individual is unable to proceed by him or herself through the maturation process to regain function. Neurofeedback acts as a releaser mechanism to permit normal maturation of function by blocking the neuro-chemical defenses that were erected to protect the brain. These neuro-chemical defenses interfere with normal functioning and the brains seeking of normalcy are catalyzed by Neurofeedback. His latest intervention called LENS (Low Energy Feedback System) has been providing excellent clinical results. While the instrumentation is FDA approved, the scientific community has still not been able to find out the reasons why the LENS procedure has often meet with such amazing success.

N. S. Srinivasan,
Program-Director

N. S. Srinivasan, is the founder & Chief Mentor of MEDHA MIND ENHANCEMENT COMPANY (P) LTD., an organization dedicated to Consulting on "Learning" in the new millennium. He is the author of the book "Brain Re-engineering." He is the only invited Asian member of SABA (Society for Advancement in Brain Analysis), started by the discoverer of Brain Function Training, Dr. Barry Sterman, Prof. Emeritus of Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He was personally mentored by Dr. Barry Sterman.    Read More . . .
